These "Tobies" are a creation of an artist named Gary Baseman. They are currently on display at an art museum in Laguna Beach, CA.

Those are so cool looking. I looked up the artist and I knew I recognized his style. He does all the drawings for the Cranium board game and that Disney cartoon Teacher's Pet. Very cool.
Yep, that's his stuff. The fine art he does is a bit more dark and twisted. Some of it's hilarious and some is just disturbing. I went to the show because it was shared between Baseman and one of my favorite current artists, Tim Biskup. If I'm not mistaken, they met while working in animation.
