Where It Belongs by Chris Leavens

By Chris Leavens

I work in a complex with many unused rooms. During a recent expansion project, an old bathroom was cracked open and this was found inside:

The bathroom had been converted into a mini sanctuary for Scientology-types to duck into in times of chaos and/or crisis (or so we believe). I didn't get a chance to delve into the dusty tome laid out on the desk, but a like-minded friend snagged it before any of the mildly-insane true believers around these parts were able to. View a less dramatic, more expansive shot of the room (with bonus portrait of L. Ron) by clicking here.

The batteries are mysterious... as are the stains on the title page.

It's a swell picture, and I like your composition. I've been eagerly waiting for the release of your take from that shoot for some time.

I suspect the batteries must have been spares to pop in an E-Meter during extra-heavy auditing sessions.

The stains on the page may well be the residue of released engrams following the session; or perhaps it is dust, settling after a period of enturbulence.

I, of course, don't know what any of this means, being such a total preclear and all.
